Shrimp, Broccoli Quinoa Stir Fry

IMG_1762One of my favorite healthy, easy-to-make, go-to meals.



  • 1 cup of dry quinoa (rinsed)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups thawed frozen shrimp (or fresh shrimp)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup white wine
  • A few splashes of soy sauce
  • Optional: a cup of unsalted cashews



  • Prepare quinoa with 2 cups of water according to package directions.
  • Rinse shrimp and remove tails, pat dry
  • Heat oil in pan.
  • Add shrimp and seasonings and garlic
  • Cook for about 5 minutes
  • Add broccoli
  • Cook for another 5 minutes
  • Add white wine
  • Cook about 5 minutes
  • Add cooked quinoa, stir all together (optional: add cashews)
  • Add soy sauce
  • Stir
  • Serve
